Rezumat

The study aims to assess the health status of oak stands (the most valuable stands of Rep. of Moldova) in relation to the activity of various pests in the period of tree vegetation, to better understand the vitality of forest ecosystems, the causes and effects of stress factors. It was determined that the oaks health status, in investigated areas, was negatively influenced by the development and activity of various pests (as confirmed by the percentage of crown defoliation, the Ecological Density of the phytophagus pests and the spatial distribution of defoliators). The most aggressive pests were on leaves: insects of fam. Cynipidae, Tortrix viridana, Erannis defoliaria, Operophtera brumata, Tischeria complanella; on acorns - Balaninus glandium. These species have changed the oaks health status with the increase of crown defoliation from the healthy tree category to the category trees with strong injuries.
