Moara sistematică cu aburi, din satul Cuhureştii de Sus, jud. Soroca (actualmente, in raionul Florești), a fost ridicată prin anii 1903-1905 de proprietarul moșiei, nobilul Vasile Bogdan (*1859 – †1912). Din complexul istoric al morii s-au păstrat pană in zilele noastre moara in sine, fostul depozit – intr-o stare cu totul deplorabilă, fiind descoperit şi părăsit, precum și fostul grajd. După moartea constructorului și a surorii sale mai mari, Eugenia Apostolopulo-Bogdan (*1857 – †1915), singura moștenitoare a rămas sora lor mai mică Alexandra Pommer (*1861 – †?). Pe la 1929 moara a fost vandută unui proprietar Tismenețchi, care, la randul său, a vandut-o verilor Velvel și Velvel Ghelman. In 1940 moara a fost predată „benevol” statului sovietic, iar proprietarii-evrei au pierit in ororile războiului mondial. Intre anii 1941-1944 moara s-a aflat in posesia unui avocat din București, după care a revenit in proprietatea statului sovietic. In cele din urmă, in 1989, a fost privatizată de familia Volentir din localitate. La deschidere, moara lucra cu motor cu aburi, avea o forţă motrice de 50 HP şi consuma o cantitate anuală de combustibil de 700 tone de lemne. Ulterior a fost instalat un motor diesel de 90 HP, şi, in cele din urmă, moara a fost electrificată. Moara din Cuhureștii de Sus rămane un monument de arhitectură industrială modernă pe cat de valoros din punct de vedere artistic, pe atat de viabil din punct de vedere economic..  

The systematic steam mill of the village of Cuhureştii de Sus, Soroca County (now Floreşti district), was built c. 1903 – c. 1905 by the owner of the estate, the nobleman Vasile Bogdan (* 1859 – † 1912). From the historical complex of the mill, the engine itself has been preserved, the former warehouse, being in a deplorable state (discovered and abandoned), as well as the former stable. After the death of both the builder and his elder sister Eugenia Apostolopulo-Bogdan (* 1857 – † 1915), the only heir was their younger sister Alexandra Pommer (* 1861 – † ?). About 1929, the mill was sold to a certain Tismeneţchi, the new owner reselling it to the cousins Velvel and Velvel Ghelman. In 1940, the mill was „voluntarily” assigned to the Soviet state, and the Jewish owners perished in the horrors of the World War. In 1941-1944, the mill was probably in the possession of a lawyer from Bucharest, after which it was returned under the ownership of the Soviet state. Finally, in 1989, the mill was privatized by the Volentir family from the locality. At the opening, the mill worked with a steam engine, having a driving force of 50 HP and consuming an annual fuel quantity of 700 tons of wood. Subsequently, a 90 HP diesel engine was installed, and, finally, the mill was electrified. The mill from Cuhureştii de Sus remains a monument of modern industrial architecture, being valuable from an artistic point of view, as well as economic viability.
