The Canadian economist Marshall McLuhan is the forerunner in defining the phenomenon of globalization. In the period of migration and as well as a consequence of the refuge from communist regimen, the contemporary Czech literature accepts not only the writers that live within the borders of their country, but also writers from other countries that are writing their works in Czech language. I have investigated the texts of the following Czech writers: Miloš Urban, Jáchym Topol, Michal Ajvaz, Patrik Ouředník and Nataša Reimanová. Historically Prague was the commercial city that knew how to accept different views categorized as primordial in different periods. Its tolerance allowed to preserve the architectural historical sequences that register a continuity of the memory. |
