Стаття присвячена дослідженню розвитку процесуального права на території України в епоху Середньовіччя. Проаналізовані особливості формування процесуальних норм на українських землях, які входили до складу Київської Русі, Великого князівства Литовського, Речі Посполитої та Російської імперії. Розглянуто джерела процесуального права, звернуто увагу на звичаєве право як основу здійснення процедури розгляду кримінальних та цивільних справ. Досліджені такі форми процесу, як обвинувально-змагальний та інквізиційно-розшуковий. Встановлено, що Литовські статути, універсали гетьманів та полковників, переробки Магдебурзького права та російські правові джерела, які діяли на території України у той час, послужили основою для подальшої процесуалізації права. Вони вплинули на формування інститутів права у майбутньому.

The article is devoted to the study of the development of procedural law in the territory of Ukraine in the Middle Ages. The peculiarities of the formation of procedural norms on the Ukrainian lands that were part of Kyiv Rus, the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Commonwealth and the Russian Empire were analyzed. The sources of procedural law are considered, attention is drawn to the customary law as the basis for the implementation of the procedure for the consideration of criminal and civil cases. The following forms of the process, such as prosecution-competitive and inquisitorial-search, have been investigated. It was established that the Lithuanian statutes, universals of hetmans and colonels, the processing of the Magdeburg Law and the Russian legal sources that acted on the territory of Ukraine at that time served as the basis for further process of the law. They influenced the formation of law institutes in the future.

Articolul este dedicat studiului dezvoltării dreptului procedural pe teritoriul Ucrainei în Evul Mediu. Au fost analizate particularitățile formării normelor procedurale privind teritoriile ucrainene care făceau parte din Rusia Kievleană, Marele Ducat al Lituaniei, Imperiul Rus. Sunt luate în considerare sursele dreptului procedural, se pune accentul pe legea obișnuită ca bază pentru punerea în aplicare a procedurii de examinare a cauzelor penale și civile. Următoarele forme ale procesului, cum ar fi urmărirea în justiție au fost investigate.
