The importance of rational management of natural resources is acknowledged for more decades. This does not prevented the continuous increase in demand and up-taking indicating the urgent need of better understanding how economics works in this direction. This paper represents an extended explanation of how mechanism that surround the management of natural resources work. The paper evolves towards the idea that there is a need to understand how the economy works when it comes to resources, the human factor and the institutional process. |
