The article analyzes the migration policy of the Republic of Moldova in the context of public administrative reform. As one of the major subjects of migration policy is the central and local public administrative authorities, their work is investigated in the field of regulation and management of migration processes. It examines the normative-legislative and institutional basis of migration management and argues that the realization of the migration policy is the prerogative of the central public administration authorities in the field of migration in collaboration with other state and non-state structures. The measures taken by public administration authorities to reduce the negative effects of migration are highlighted. As a result of the analysis of documents and materials in the field, it is noticed that in the last years, as a result of the social-economic transformations, the public administration reform, the issue of migration was included in the foreground on the national agenda. At the same time, governance needs to provide a clear perspective of country development, management of migration policies and processes to ensure citizens' well-being.
