Rezumat

One of the main problems of contemporary didactics is the differentiation and individualization of instruction. Contemporary student's personality formation means developing the innovative spirit based on the logical thinking, training specialists with a high moral character, but also using efficient technologies of action. The main task of universities is to contribute to developing creative members of the society that can use the competences acquired during the studies in practice. The teacher’s purpose is to create optimal possibilities for each student individually, to activate his biopsychic potential to the maximum in order to perform the individual work properly.  The concept of higher education included a reform of higher education (the Bologna Process) that focuses on the active involvement of students in their own training. Strategies for performing the individual work in the higher education are suggested for organizing efficiently the individual work, identifying the actual state of affairs and involving teachers in providing education oriented to the training needs of students through differentiation and individualization.
