The process of formation of the middle class in Moldova and in Romania, Ukraine and other ex-Soviet countries is extremely difficult. Many experts are skeptical about the outcome of this process. Discrepancies between the poor and the rich are very high and the socioeconomic conditions does not encourage the formation of a middle class, on the contrary - create new obstacles. To what extent can we talk about youth participation in the formation of the middle class in Moldova? What preconditions exist for this, considering that migration involves especially young people? There is a certain stability of the presence of young people on the labor market in Moldova? To make an analysis study and find answers to these questions, we used quantitative and qualitative methods. Also, we conducted a research study, with 100 young people aged 1823 years Moldovans in Italy, to remark the degree of their intent to return to Moldova, to remain in Italy or to go to another country, to open a business in Moldova, the problems they face etc.
