Enteroviruses (polio viruses, Coxsackie A and B, Echovirus and enterovirus 68-71) include numerous pathogens that cause various forms of human diseases may thus be affected digestive tract, respiratory tract and sometimes the nervous system. Enterovirus infections are widespread, every year, including in Chisinau. In 2002, the European Regional Certification Commission of the World Health Organization declared polio-free Europe caused by the wild virus. The vaccine strains of poliovirus and other Enterovirus serotypes are circulating widely in our territory. In this paper we present the results of a study of the spectrum of these viruses circulating during the 2008-2013 years. A total of 2327 samples were examined |
