Представлена стаття присвячена аналізу трансформаційних проявів взаємозв’язку релігії та права з визначенням загальних тенденцій у вказаній сфері в історії сучасного світу. Детально висвітлена проблема співвідношення права й релігії, що носить конкретно-історичний характер і змінюється в різних суспільно-економічних формаціях. Виявлено загальні риси і сторони співвідношення права і релігії в сучасному світі. У підсумку відзначено, що вказаний історичний досвід для держави на сучасному етапі її розвитку є повчальним, оскільки якщо ще понад двісті років тому люди намагалися вирішити можливі спірні питання мирним шляхом, то для сучасного суспільства, принципи толерантності повинні стати домінуючими.  

The presented paper is devoted to the analysis of the relationship of transformational manifestations of religion and the right to the definition of the general trends in this field in the history of the modern world. The problem of the law – religion relation, which has a specific historical nature and varies in different socio-economic formations is elaborated in details. The general features and sides of the law – religion relation in the modern world are revealed. The result indicated that the historical experience for country at the present stage of its development is instructive, because if more than two hundred years ago, people have tried to solve possible disputes by peaceful means, the modern society, the principles of tolerance should be dominant.
