The State of the Antioxidant System of Defense in Saliva of Children with Catarrhal Gingivitis
Salivary indices are a reflection of the patient’s metabolic state and have clinical diagnostic importance in patients with oral tissue inflammation.
The aim of our study was to examine the state of the antioxidant system of defense in the saliva of 7-year-old children with mild gingivitis. The
results of the study showed an imbalance of saliva in patients with gingivitis. In saliva of children with a medium degree of catarrhal gingivitis
the activity of glutathione reductase is predominated in glucose-6-phosphate-dehidrogenase and the activity of glutathione-S-transferase is
predominated in glutathione reductase

Целью нашей работы было исследование состояния антиоксидантной системы защиты слюны 7-летних детей с гингивитом средней степени тяжести в сравнении со здоровыми детьми. Результаты исследования показали дисбаланс антиоксидантной системы слюны пациентов с гингивитом.
