Performance appraisal of civil servants is a current problem in most countries. The practical experience favors a varietyof theoretical interpretations about the system of performance evaluation in public administration, with all its complementary components. The approaches of several authors from different countries are synthesized in the article,regarding the necessity and importance of performance management in public institutions. |
