It was studied Zn and Cu concentration in the blood of 80 children with primary glomerulonephritis (GN) in different clinical stages of disease development. In children with various forms of GN in the acute phase of the disease was reported a significant reduction in the concentration of Zn and increase of Cu in the blood level. In the acute phase of clinical manifestations in patients with steroid-sensitive nephrotic syndrome (SSNS) Zn levels in the blood significantly decreased by 2, 8 times and in steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome (SRNS) - by 3.4 times, compared to the control group. In remission Zn level in the blood is increased as compared with the initial level, but is still reduced as compared to the control group. In the acute phase SSNS Cu level in the blood rises by 2, 8-times, while SRNS – rises by 4.2 times compared with the control group. In remission Cu level in the blood practically remains at the normal level. Determination of the concentration of Zn and Cu in the blood can be used to monitor the activity of a pathological process in children with various variants GN, and monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic measures. |
