Studiul „Zece nuvele rezistente ale anilor ’60-’70” este o continuare necesară a altui studiu al autorului – „Spiritul autohton in nuvelistica anilor ’60-’70”, publicat in Philologia (2015, nr. 3-4, p. 8-20). Se dau exemple pentru ideile din studiul precedent prin analiza concretă a unor proze scurte caracteristice epocii acelor ani. In planul din faţă al exegezei nu puteau lipsi – şi nu lipsesc! – nuvelele lui Ion Druţă, Vasile Vasilache, Mihail Gh. Cibotaru, Nicolae Esinencu, George Meniuc ş.a. Autorul procedează indrăzneţ readucand in atenţia cititorului contemporan nuvela „Pe dambul unde nu se pune vie” de Ariadna Şalari; incercand să reabiliteze o nuvelă bună, „Ingăduie, omule!” de Lidia Istrati, aspru criticată la data apariţiei, 1978; scoţand din uitare o nuvelă excelentă, „Argint viu”, a lui Dumitru Ciobanu.

The study “Ten resistant novels of the ‘60s and ‘70s” is a necessary sequel of another study of the author – “The local spirit of the novelettes’ writing of the 60s and 70s”, published in „Philologia” (2015, no. 3-4, p. 8-20). Ion Ciocanu exemplifies the ideas of the previous study through the concrete analysis of some short prosestypical of those years. In the foreground of this exegesis could not miss – and do not miss! – the novels of Ion Druţă, Vasile Vasilache, Mihail Gh. Cibotaru, Nicolae Esinencu, George Meniuc etc. The author proceeds bravely with turning the contemporary reader’s attention to thenovel “On the mound where it is not placed alive” by Ariadna Şalari. He tries to rehabilitate a good novelette, “Allow, man!” by Lidia Istrati, harshly criticized in 1978, when it appeared. The author takes out of oblivion a great novel, “Quick Silver” by Dumitru Ciobanu.
