Rezumat

The ecumenical tourism is a complex mixture of culture, religion and tourism. The visitors that cross the churches' threshold, no matter the position or attitude they adopt towards the ecumenical phenomenon, charge themselves with elements of spirituality, accumulating the energy and wisdom necessary to reflect more upon the essential things in life: love, understanding and love for fellows. Man was a continuous seeker for a holy environment in which to be able to understand his own life, honouring the Bible holy places, the martyrs and heroes tombs, or the places where holy people lived with respect and prayers. The beginnings of the existence on Earth, hundreds of years ago, when pre-historic people used to shelter inside caves and dealt with hunting, harvest and fishing, were dominated by unexplainable natural phenomena that made them fear.
