The meat industry is one of the most important sectors of a country’s economy. The production and consumption of meat products is one of the indicators of the life quality of a nation. According to this the development of the meat industry is the result of increasing both economic and social level of life in a country. In this article we present the information about evolution of the meat industry in the Republic of Moldova in the last years basing our investigation on the official statistical data and the positions of the experienced meat industry experts.
