Rezumat

The translation didactics issue started to preoccupy researchers who were limited in their prescriptive approach to translation, forcing them to roll their sleeves, leave the comfortable and safe ivory tour and engage in practical translation work themselves, not being allowed the “linguistics hermits” status any longer. Modern era with the rapid development of technologies, commissions formalized instruction from translators and specifically tailored curricula to shape professionalism. Different approaches to translation didactics are touched upon in the article: descriptive, functional and social-constructivist. An interesting research invoked the theory of indeterminacy in order to develop several principles with the aim of reducing, if not eliminating this, pursuing an increased standardization and predictability in specialized translation. The translation of attributive clusters is the representative aspect for the complexity of the translator’s mission, who must resort to an immediate constituents analysis (ICA) first, to obtain a precise equivalence. The instruction process must include authentic parallel texts, for which topic-driven and genre-driven corpora must be created. The use of CAT application is another pre-requisite in the translation of the specialized texts with the creation and management of concept-centered MultiTermBases as well as an efficient and reliable collaboration on the translation project
