The issue regarding the institution of social liability has always been actual, despite its traditional nature. It has a practical relevance because the evolution of the social liability proceeds from the evolution of breaches of social norms. In all these cases, the social liability aims to protect the social order, the rights and liberties of the members of the society, the life and integrity of persons, thus guaranteeing the normal cohabitation in the society. The evolution of various types of societal organization had always conveyed new connotations to the social liability, but this evolution may be also considered from a different point of view. Hence, besides the parallel between the evolution of the types of societal organization and the evolution of social liability, there may be also considered the parallel between the appearance of various types of liability and the evolution of the social one. In our opinion, there are the following types of social liability: moral liability, religious liability, social - statutory liability, and legal liability.
