Rezumat

The objective of the article is to make a concise overview of the types of new technologies implemented into the ESP study; to analyze the successful experiences so as to avoid blunders or exaggerated use in our own integration of modern technologies into the classroom. Having in view that “English for Specific Purposes” is a learner-oriented vocational course, it should focus on the specific needs of the student, starting by building a vocabulary bank from corpuses of specialized academic texts, with further consolidation and application activities. The digitally native audience would welcome any aspect of Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) and Computer mediated communication (CMC), but they would also feel when technologies are unproductive, these should not interfere with specific objectives that the course pursues. Technologies are valuable tools in the learning processes and should enable peer communication, evaluation and exchange thus collaboration; enhance self-representation and presentation skills.

Cuvinte-cheie
