The article tries to validate the thesis that the lexicographical new techniques, which in the description of the language’s words relies mainly on the interface and the lexicographical hypertext, will allow undoubtedly the subtilization of the lexicographical treatment of lexical units and the amplification of the spectrum of information relating to their nature and their semiotic, linguistic and functional peculiarities. These new techniques will also assure the elimination of the multitude of annoying inaccuracies and inconsistencies that still persist in the presentation of the lexical units in the printed traditional dictionaries.
