Rezumat

Intercultural competence is a communicative competence calling upon the language like one of the languages of communication. Indeed, the languages used in the communication can be verbal or not verbal. If the language is essential in the communication, it is claimed however that the verbal one intervenes for nearly 80% in the oral communication. That means that the way of being held, of getting dressed, the gestures and the facial expressions are carrying messages as much than the language, if it is not more. If there exist differences in the languages, there are some as much in the nonverbal communication in the various cultures: there too the code can change from one group to another, and give birth to from the misunderstandings, even from the conflicts. In this talk, I will thus approach the various forms of communication which compose communicative competence, and I will insist more particularly on the role of the cultures in this competence.
