The paper analyzes the idea constellation developed by M. Nordau in the positivist pamphlet Entartung, dedicated to the fin de siecle aesthetic dispositions. It investigates the characteristics of the psycho-physiological method that Nordau applied to the analysis of the cultural-problematic horizon specific to certain philosophers, artists, schools, currents from the second half of the 19th Century, labeled as decadent. |
