The omnipresence of information and the networks that may be used to access it determines its availability anytime and anywhere. One of the greatest challenges of the protection degree is the security of the networks in banking field. Banks collect massive amounts of information and employ numerous informational systems, so that the main concern of the banks becomes how to protect the sensitive data that is stored or transferred when performing banking operations. In order to ensure this protection, banks must have the appropriate security and control procedures in place, although no bank can be firmly confident that its informational assets are protected. The main conclusion arising from the article’s findings is that each bank must obtain a reasonable level of assuring its informational system’s protection, thus innovations are emerging as one of the best solutions in offering it. |
