Numerous Romanian copies of folk literature books, mostly variants of older manuscripts scattered in foreign collections and thus less accessible, remain little known and researched. This is the case of the folk literature book known to us under the abbreviated name of Alexandria. The author means the text preserved in Romanian manuscript with the no. 817, fund 301 (copied in Chisinau by Stephen of Putna in 1790). The author reproduces it in full length after the original kept in the Institute of Manuscripts of the National Library of „V. I. Vernadsky” Academy of Sciences (Ukraine).
