This article presents the study of mother and child health care in Republic of Moldova in generally and in the Mother and Child Research Institute in condition of the obligated medical insurances during the 4 years period. The principal indicators in republic of Moldova during this period (2004-2007) were compared with analogically indicators in 25 years (1982-2006). The analyses shows a stable decline of maternal mortality (16 at 100 000 life newborn in 2006), perinatal mortality (10,4‰), early neonatal mortality (5,3‰), infantile mortality (11,8 ‰) in last years, that shows the direct attribution and a stable financing aroused from National company of medical Insurances (from 27,6 mln. lei in 2004 till 58,0 mln. lei in 2007). In 2004–2006, the maternity ward of the Mother and Child Research Institute registered a stable trend of increased births and premature births, mainly due to the implementation of the system of regionalization of perinatal assistance, in accordance with which the pregnant with severe extragenital and obstetrical pathology and a gestation period of 34 weeks are transferred for birth purposes to the maternity ward of the Mother
