In this article it is presented social-pedagogical activity of Stefan Mardgella. He was iluminist, teacher and linguist in Besarabia in the first half of the XIXth century. The author gives special attention to characteristic of Mardgella pedagogical activity in creation of visual tables and educational supplies for Besarabian schools. The author pays his attention on grammar manuals which had been written in Romanian language, creation of dictionaries and educational supplies for Besarabian schools. An objective and detailed mark is given by the author to Stefan Mardgella who was a great linguist, scientist and teacher. The author showed his contribution to development in education in Besarabia land.

În articol, autoarea prezintă activitatea socială şi pedagogică a lui Ştefan Mardgella. În prima jumătate a secolului al XIX-lea, Dânsul a activat în Basarabia ca professor şi lingvist. S-a impus prin crearea diferitor tabele didactice, manuale în limba română şi dicţionare pentru şcolile basarabene.
