In consolidated democracies, integrity is one of the major strengths of the public administration. Public integrity is an essential component of good gover-nance, thus closely linked to quality services that public officials offer to the ci-tizens. Building an honest behavior of a public official is a priority solution to prevent corruption. Honest behavior is shown by uncorrupted and candid con-duct. In general, the term „corruption” is related to the „bribe”, but in reality, corruption is not limited to giving or taking a bribe, which is only a part of cor-ruption. Like any social phenomenon, corruption is a reality that evolves gradually, subject to the conditions of existence of a particular society. Also, as with other phenomena, the evolution of corruption can be analyzed in order to carry out forecasts being taken into consideration the causes that generate the phenome-non, the impact on the socio-economic-political attitude of the state and civil society on the existence of the phenomenon. |
