The concept the nation - the state embodies the most important factors of the modern state: presence of territory, the control over violent methods, impersonal structure of authority, legitimacy. Through a prism of these factors two interconnected concepts collide: the state as division of authorities and the state as a democratic community. In case of Republic Moldova of the attitude between these concepts are very inconsistent, defining all complexity of becoming of the nation - the states. Other specific features in Republic Moldova are: disagreements between real mechanisms of authority of political elite and formal opportunities of influence of weights on authority; between realization of authority and a degree of its legitimacy; between presence of territory dе-jure and limitation of distribution of the government above all territory de-facto; between presence of national interest and unripe national idea; between different positions of political actors concerning national identity.
