Rezumat

In Romania, the school and education seem to have become the subject of very different perceptions and attitudes of the youth and adults of different ages. The present study depicts the results of a survey conducted among the 323 high school students. The data showed the participants tendency to express a positive attitude toward school – as an institution whose attendance is critical to success in life. The results were interpreted in terms of some methodological limitations stressing the need for the replication of our survey on a more representative sample of Romanian high school students.
