The article analyzes the provisions regarding the mission and responsibility of the scientist and professors for the veracity of the knowledge obtained, for the results of the implementation of this knowledge, for his entire activity in the Code of Ethics of the State University of Moldova, which stipulates that scientists, researchers, professors must act in accordance with professional values, principles and ethical norms which are: academic freedom, personal autonomy, which includes freedom of thought and expression, justice and fairness, respect and tolerance, professionalism, merit, transparency, professional and social responsibility, honesty and fairness intellectual goodwill, kindness and care, solidarity and attachment to the institution. The ideas of professor and scientist Vasile Țapoc (1939-2021) are evoked about the need to respect these moral norms, about the professionalism of the scientist and the teacher and their moral profile as determinants of the development of science and, as a whole, of the culture of a society.

În articol sunt analizate prevederile cu privire la misiunea și responsabilitatea savantului și a profesorului pentru veridicitatea cunoștințelor obținute, pentru rezultatele implementării acestor cunoștințe, pentru întreaga sa activitate în Codul de etică al Universității de Stat din Moldova, în care este stipulat că savanții, cercetătorii, profesorii trebuie să activeze în conformitate cu valorile, principiile şi normele etice profesionale cum ar fi: libertatea academică, autonomia personală, care include libertatea gândirii și a exprimării, dreptatea şi echitatea, respectul şi toleranţa, profesionalismul, meritul, transparenţa, responsabilitatea profesională şi socială, onestitatea şi corectitudinea intelectuală, bunăvoinţa şi grija, solidaritatea și ataşamentul faţă de instituţie. Sunt evocate ideile profesorului și savantului Vasile Țapoc (1939-2021) despre necesitatea respectării acestor norme morale, despre profesionalismul savantului și al profesorului și profilul moral al lor ca factori determinanți ai dezvoltării științei și, în ansamblu, ai culturii unei societăți.
