On 27 August 1989, when at the Grand National Assembly it was decided about the declaration of romanian language as state language and the return to the latin. The romanian language situation of these 22 years was very different and has registered both moments of triumph and disgrace – moments that have directly influenced the situation of the media system. These years can be divided symbolically in three stages: The first – from 1989 to 2001 – the general population of native speakers began to learn the literary rules, which created a favourable environment for the
operation of romanian language, but also for the activity of the institutions of romanian-language media. The second period beginning with the power of the forces of the left, in 2001 and completed in 2009 – total neglect of the romanian language became the policy of the Communist State, which has a negative influence and State of the art of the indigenous media. The third stage starts in 2009, with the return to the Government of the democratic forces – political developments in the past two years inspire confidence that the situation of the romanian language in Republic of Moldova could change for the better. And in the local media have produced positive changes: new radio and television in different formats. However, today, linguistic environment pollution has become a brand of entertainment and media, domestic, a sort of „national” became specific for journalism politic-harsh reality, attested both in the press and in the local. The rearranging of the human being in truth is difficult, time-consuming, and is made with the great suffering the moral and spiritual revival. |
