În perioada anului 2009-2011 la Centrul Naţional Ştiiţifico-Practic Medicină de Urgenţă (CNŞPMU) s-au adresat 16 pacienţi cu luxaţie anterioară bilaterală a articulaţiei temporomandibulare, la care li sa efectuat examenul clinic şi paraclinic, ca metoda de tratament s-a ales reducerea luxaţiei după Hipocrate, tratamentul a fost efectiv în 10 cazuri, la cei 6 reducerea luxaţiei după Hipocrate nu s-a reuşit, din cauza tonusului marit al muşchilor masticatori. S-a recurs la procedee pentru a micşora tonusul muşchilor masticatori: procedeu propus de Г.Л. Блехман, Tanujan Thangarajah şi coautorii. După tratament pacienţii au respectat indicaţiile, complicaţii nu au fost.
