Rezumat

One of the most important issue encountered in today’s international security environment is the new type of conflicts and crises. It is very important to understand the concept of crisis and to analyze it by understanding the whole spectrum of the crisis environment, as well as by involving not only the international organizations, but also the international community. The United Nations has the biggest role in resolving through a peaceful and democratic way most of the conflicts and crises around the world. However, today’s military crises have become more sophisticated, and peacekeeping operations need to be more effective. Furthermore, as we are living now in an information age, where the future of military crises are going to be more complicated than ever before, states need to take appropriate measures in order to bring peace and security in this unpredictable, ambiguous and complex world. For this reason, United Nations will remain the most important organization for conflict prevention and crises management world wide.
