The research topic of this article refers to the aspects that determine the need to deepen studies on gender mainstreaming in the security and defense sector. At present, there is a growing need to implement the foresights of UN Security Council Resolution 1325. Taking into consideration the fact that during the last decade the states have adopted action plans for implementation of the named Resolution, the Republic of Moldova has also adopted an Action Program to strengthen the commitments to implement UNSCR 1325. Thus, this article refers to the fact why UNSCR 1325 has a national and as well an international involvement. At the same time, is presented the evolving process of elaboration of the mentioned Program in the Republic of Moldova. Finally, are highlighted the needs for an effective implementation of UNSCR 1325. |
