We studied the quality of the silage prepared from Brassicaceae species: Brassica napus subsp. oleifera, Sinapis alba and Crambe cordifolia cultivated in the experimental plot of the National Botanical Garden (Institute) „Alexandru Ciubotaru”, Chisinau, R. Moldova. It has been determined that the dry matter of enseled mass from studied Brassicaceae species were characterized pH= 4.12-4.66, 7.4-8.6 g/kg acetic acid, 0-0.4 g/kg butyric acid, 12.5-41.8 g/kg lactic acid, 167.5-207.4 g/kg CP, 129.0-155.5 g/kg DP, 26.8-67.1 g/kg EE, 277.9-388.2 g/kg CF, 270.4-403.2 g/kg NFE, 138.3-147.1 g/kg ash and nutitive value 0.85-1.11 nutritive units/kg, 9.70-10.98 MJ/kg ME, 14.91-45.80 mg/kg caroten, 134.5-159.7 g DP/ nutritive units, this fact indicates a optimal quality of prepared silages for ruminants. The biochemical methane production potential of Brassicaceae silages substrates achieved 254-303 L/kg of organic matter. The enseled mass from studied Brassicaceae species can be used as alternative fodder for farm animals or as substrates in biogas generators for the production of renewable energy. |
