Rezumat

Two main species of the Alternaria genus are associated with maximum eggplant yield losses, causing various types of vascular disease and rots - A. solani and A. alternata. Molecular identification of these pathogens in seeds and plants of Solanum melongena during ontogenesis was carried out. Quantification of A. solani and A. alternata in some eggplant varieties via nested-PCR based on dilution method was performed.
