The Encyclopaedic Dictionary of Psychology defines the interest as a motivational internal stimulus which expresses the active or relatively stable orientation of the human personality to certain activity domains. The term utters a relation of convenience particularized between the organism and environment (Şchiopu, U., Demetrescu, R., Zlate, M., 1979). The term ,,interest”, into the person's psychology and the psychical process psychology is treated in a restrictive way, in predominant functional significance. The interest presumes a cognitive intrinsic motivation. The fact that the structured interest is a specific attitude is demonstrated by the relation between each interest and its negative reserve, non-interest or the negative type of interest. In the structure of the interest there are integrated motivational affective components and also operational-cognitive constituents. The interests are determined by the fundamental areas of the personality like axiological orientation, by the dynamic particularities, by aptitudes and motivation, not only in a direct way, but also through the performances, through the accomplishment of the activities (Chircev, A., Salade, D., 1976).The interests are included into the structure of the personality and they create an orientative / aproximative subsystem (Popescu-Neveanu, P.,1978). |
