Rezumat

The main objectives of the research where to explain the essence and importance of the social entrepreneurship; to investigate the implementation of social entrepreneurship abroad; to argue about the importance of social entrepreneurship for the Republic of Moldova. In order to achieve the objectives, the following tools have been used: synthesis of the theoretical approaches, generalisation, monographic study. Regarding the term of social entrepreneurship, we can stress that the most widely cited definition was offered by Greg Dees, who is often referred to as the father of social entrepreneurship education. Dees draws on the thinking of the economists Jean-Baptiste Say and Joseph A. Schumpeter, who argued that entrepreneurs improve the productive capacity of society and provide the “creative destruction”, that propels economic change. There are following young social entrepreneurs with the brightest future, mentioned by the Forbes: Hugh Evans - launched The Global Poverty Project in 2008. He has received domestic and international accolades for his work in promoting youth advocacy and volunteerism in order to reduce extreme poverty in developing countries; Jason Aramburu - he uses biochar to help farmers in East Africa fight climate change and grow more food. Biochar is made from crop and animal waste; for a $60 investment, a farmer saves $200 annually, boosts crop yield 26%, and reduces chemical fertilizer consumption by 80%. Republic of Moldova have already made its first steps in developing social entrepreneurial activities. In this context we can underline the project "Better Opportunities for Youth and Women" - one of the few successful experiences in this regard, implemented by United Nations Development Programme. Thus, since 2007 until the completion of the project, nine social enterprises have been created, founded by NGO partners, through which 18 business plans have been funded. In order to argue the necessity of social entrepreneurship for Republic of Moldova, we have to underline its importance for our country: · financial assistance for the preparation and launch of the business. This requires the elaboration of the concept and a business plan, conducting feasibility studies to ensure compliance with existing needs at the local level and to ensure the success of medium and long term future of the business; · the initial investment in the purchase of equipment and other resources required. Conclusion: · Social entrepreneurship contributes to increasing social inclusion, creates jobs, involves people belonging to disadvantaged groups in economic activities and facilitates their access to resources and social services; · Development of social enterprises in Moldova has become a priority with the adoption by Parliament of Moldova of the Civil Society Development Strategy for the years 2012-2015 and of the Action Plan. Although it is widely spread and valued in Western European countries, social entrepreneurship remains in Moldova to be a relatively new idea.
