Rezumat

Microbiological protection recorded remarkable results in controlling various pests (pathogenic agents of diseases, insect and mite pests), permanently extending the range of the useful agents that are used, as well as the spectrum of the protected crops, and have to cover agriculture with environmentally friendly means. The rresearches by isolating, identifying and determining biological particularities of various useful microorganisms (viruses, bacteria and microscopically fungi) have developed original technological procedures of production and application and submitted for approval some biological preparations effective in controlling pests with the most severe impact on crops. These were submitted for approval or extension of the scope of use of Republican Interdepartmental Council for Approval of Products for Phytosanitary Usage and Fertilizers. As a result of the research, the following biopreparations were re-approved: Nematofagin-BL - Arthrobotrys oligospora, to control phytopathogenic nematodes, titer is 3 mln. spores/g; Verticilin granular – BL - Verticillium lecanii against whitefly in the greenhouse, the is 3 billion spores/g; Virin ABB-3 - Granulosis virus + Nuclear polyhedrosis virus, to combat Hyphantria cunea, titer 6 billion granules (polyhedra)/g; Virin-CP - Granulosis virus against Carpocapsa pomonella, titer 3 billion. granules/g; Virin-HS-2 - Nuclear polyhedrosis virus to combat Helicoverpa armigera, titer 7 billion polyhedron/g; Virin-MB - Nuclear polyhedrosis virus against Mamestra brassicae, titer 1 billion polyhedron/g; Virin-OS - Granulosis virus to control Agrotis segetum, titer 3 billion granules/g; Trihodermin Th-7F-BL - Trichoderma harzianum for control root rot, titer 15 billion spores/g Trihodermin BL - Trichoderma lignorum M-10 for control root rot, titer 15 billion spores/g. The role of approved preparations has been determined and their biological, economic and ecological efficacy demonstrated. The value of microbiological means does not consist just in their considerable biological, environmental and economic effects, but also their possibility to be included in conventional and organic farming systems.
