Background. Polyphenols occupy a special place in medicine and pharmacy due to their antioxidant, properties, constituting one of the most numerous groups of active principles. Objective of the study. Evaluation of polyphenolic content from different collections and spontaneous flora of the Republic of Moldova for aerial parts of agrimony and chicory. Material and Methods. Agrimoniae herba, Cichorii herba were collected from the collection of the Scientific Center for Cultivation of Medicinal Plants (SCCMP), of the National Botanical Garden (NBG) and from spontaneous flora: Mereni, Anenii-Noi (A. herba) and Tribujeni, Orhei (C. herba). The polyphenolic compounds were spectrophotometrically dosed, after Folin-Ciocalteu, with recalculation in gallic acid. Results. The dosage of polyphenolic compounds indicates that their content varies in the aerial parts of Agrimonia eupatoria L. and Cicorium intybus L. depending on the place of collection. Thus, polyphenolic compounds are present with a higher content in the spontaneous flora: Agrimoniae herba (1,09%), followed by the contents of the collection of NBG (0,94%) and SCCMP (0,71%); for Cichorii herba the maximum concentration was found in the spontaneous flora (0,66%), followed by the collection of SCCMP (0,59%) and NBG (0,57%). Conclusion. Total of phenols in the examined vegetal products: Agrimoniae herba and Cichorii herba appear with a higher content in the spontaneous flora, followed by the collections |
