Rezumat

It was studied milk productivity of Ukrainian Black and Red-and-White dairy, Ayrshire and Red Polish till I-IV and best lactation, as well as morphological and functional properties of mammary gland of first-calf heifers. It was established that the cows under experiment differed in their level of milk productivity due to the fact that some of them belong to the factory, the others - to the local (less productive) breeds. However, all of them were dominated by the relevant standards specified breeds due to the milk yield, fat content in the milk and the amount of milk fat (exception Ayrshire - the fat content of milk of the first lactation). Animals of third lactation had the highest milk yield and only Ukrainian Red-and-White dairy breed - by IV lactation. The dairy breed heifers of Ayrshire and Ukrainian Black-and-White cows had the best development of morphological characteristics of udder, the worst - Red Polish. The correlation coefficients between the milk yield and morphological characteristics of the udder, depending on the breed and the index, were ranged within 0,187- 0,476, and between milk yield and soundings of dugs - within -0,137- + 0.207.
