Rezumat

Nowadays the topical issue of dairy stockbreeding is the diseases of distal part limb. The limb lesion of cattle is a common type of pathology and causes significant economic damage to farms, not only by performance decrease, reproductive ability, fatness and incomplete use of the breed genetic potential and due to premature culling of sick animals. The spread of cow hoof diseases (55-75% of population size) is often characterized by the fact that the most number of animals become to ill at age 1-3 weeks after calving. The most common forms of hoof lesion are pododermatitis and laminitis (51-64%), dermatitis of interdigital set (20-32 %), flegmona corolla (6-10%) and arthritis of pedal joint (7-8%). The number of pododermatitis, laminitis and common level of hoof pathologies is increased with rising of cow performance. The relationship between animal genotype, keeping conditions and the limb lesion was found.

Cuvinte-cheie
Cows, Cattle, Lameness, cloven hoofs.
