The health system of the Republic of Moldova has remained unchanged for the last five years. The second Population Health Barometer, launched by the Center for Health Policy and Analisys (PAS Center) shows that the situation remained the same in 2019, with insignificant changes. Therefor, health reforms stagnate, is the general perception about the evolution of the health system in Moldova. The 5 most important issues remained constant: endowment with modern equipment (41,6%), corruption (38,5%), hight cost of treatment (38,4%), the attitude of the medical staff (30,8%), acces to reimbursed and free medicines (27,7%). Compared to 2018, the share of respondents who consider that access to reimbursed and free medicines is problematic decreased with 5,2 p.p. (27,7% in 2019 compared to 32,9% in 2018) and the share of those who mentioned the insufficiency of the medical staff increased slightly (26,6% in 2019 and 21,8% in 2018). According to the research, the share of those who stated that the health situation has not envolved or worsened is over 60% for the period 2013-2018 and over 65% - for the last year. Among insured patients, about 30% believe, however, that the situation has improved. Among uninsured patients, almost 40% of the respondents gave the same answer.
