Articolul oferă informații despre organizarea și conținutul Expoziţiei de pictură şi sculptură a artiştilor mobilizaţi, organizată în ziua de 24 ianuarie 1918, în localul Şcolii de belle - arte din Iaşi, în timp ce, orașul Bucureşti era ocupat de inamici. În capitala moldavă, chiar şi-n anii grei ai războiului, în galerii, improvizate uneori, în vitrine, la sediul redacţiilor, cofetării ş.a., expoziţiile se ţineau în lanţ. Expoziţia de pictură şi sculptură a artiştilor mobilizaţia fost o replică, autentică şi de amploare, Salonului Oficial din Bucureşti. Erau picturile artiştilor implicaţi în viaţa frontului, care au trăit şi au luptat efectiv pe front, care, apoi, au imortalizat în scene compoziţionale impresionante şi emoţionante aceste aspecte. Scenele surprindeau atmosfera apăsătoare a frontului, urmările dezastruoase ale bombardamentelor, pierderile grele, suferinţele omeneşti. Expoziţia a fost onorată, în ziua vernisajului, de prezenţa familiei regale, a fost pe larg comentată de către gazetari, artişti şi oameni de cultură. O altă informaţie interesantă o oferă cotidianul Opinia, din care reiese că această deosebită manifestare artistică a fost prezentată şi la Chişinău, la numai câteva zile după ce Sfatul Ţării hotărâse unirea Basarabiei cu România.

The article provides information about the organization and content of the Exhibition of painting and sculpture of mobilized artists, organized on January 24, 1918, in the School of Fine-Arts (belle-arts) in Iasi, while the city of Bucharest was occupied by enemies. In the Moldovan capital, even in the hard years of the war, in galleries, sometimes improvised, in shop windows, at the headquarters of newsrooms, confectioneries etc., the exhibitions were held in chains. The exhibition of paintings and sculptures of the mobilized artists was an authentic and large replica of the Official Salon in Bucharest. It was the paintings of the artists involved in the life of the front, who lived and actually fought on the front, who then immortalized these aspects in impressive and emotional compositional scenes. The compositional scenes captured the oppressive atmosphere of the front, the disastrous aftermath of the bombings, the heavy losses, the human suffering. The exhibition was honored, on the opening day by the presence of the royal family, was widely commented on by journalists, artists and people of culture. Another interesting information is marked by the daily Opinia, which shows that this special artistic event was presented in Chisinau, just a few days after the Country Council decided to unite Bessarabia with Romania.
