Rezumat

Translation of International Trade texts is a challenging process. Consistency is a prerequisite, since the uniform use of terminology eliminates misunderstanding in the process of the target text formation. The language of international trade demonstrates the quality of its living language, being a complex and permanent process that is achieved by all means of vocabulary enrichment. Knowledge and explanation of economic conditions in the light of their origin is often an important stage for a more effective expression of specialized phenomena. Translation of such type of texts demands a certain level of specialized knowledge. Such areas of knowledge always have a relatively well-defined terminology set on a collection of concepts, a name being assigned to each of them. The major criteria for choices taken in the process of the International Trade texts translation are the lack of ambiguities (the target audience is able to identify the reference concept), the closeness towards the originally conveyed information, the need to preserve synchronic coherence of the elements representing the final/target text, and the compliance with the diachronic evolution of the lexis regarding the choice of terms. The translation of texts in the field of international trade is one of the most scrupulous and timeconsuming activity requiring extreme attention and concentration. It is a demanding process, involving accuracy and attention to details. The translator should take into account various aspects as choosing the proper lexical equivalent and using it in the given context, applying equivalents of the same stylistic register of the original text etc.

Traducerea textelor din domeniul comerțului internațional este un proces solicitant, fiind una dintre cele mai scrupuloase activități care necesită concentrare maximă, implicând precizie și atenție la detalii. Traducătorul trebuie să țină cont de alegerea echivalentului lexical adecvat și utilizarea acestuia într-un anumit context, selectând echivalente ale aceluiași registru stilistic al textului original. Drept criterii principale în alegerile efectuate în procesul de traducere se enumără lipsa ambiguităților, precizia informațiilor inițial transmise, necesitatea păstrării coerenței sincronice ale elementelor care reprezintă textul final/textul-țintă, respectarea evoluției diacronice a vocabularului în procesul de selectare a termenilor.
