Triticale is an important cereal crop grown throughout the world. Research showed that the initiation of callus and regeneration of young plants from mature embryos triticale depended on genotypic characteristics. The highest rate of the callus formation was attested in genotype 2/917 CAD that constitutes 82%. The frequency of shoots formation was 17,27- 43.27%.The total number of regenerants plants was 59, and the acclimation rate was 52.94%. Evaluation of triticale somaclonesin vitrorevealed some changes in morphological appearance: increased number of leaves and nodes per plant. The ANOVA test evidenced that the genotype influenced significantle on the calusogenesis and regeneration of plants. |
