Rezumat

Although in vitro culture techniques are effective methods for ex situ conservation of plantssometimes under certain conditions can occur genomic alteration. One of the requirements for plant conservation using this method is to maintain regenerants stable at both phenotypic and genotypic level. The most reliable evaluation method is based on the molecular analyses (proteins and/or DNA). In this respect, genomic stability of the regenerants from a long-term culture of Ruscus aculeatus was investigated through RAPD method.Results showed that regenerants grown under artificial conditions had no changes at the genomic level, which confirmed our previous investigations at atultrastructural, histological and molecular (isoenzymes) levels.
