Rezumat

Based on natural diterpenes (+)-larixol and (-)-sclareol a series of new nitrogen
containing compounds were synthesized. The homodrimanic and drimanic oximes 3 and 4
functionalized in the ring B are reported for the first time. All compounds were screened for their
in vitro antifungal and antibacterial activities against pure culture of three fungi species
(Aspergillus niger, Penicillium frequentans, Alternaria alternata) and against both Gramnegative
(Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and Gram-positive bacteria (Bacillus polymyxa). The amide
1 and oximes 2-4 showed good to acceptable antibacterial and antifungal activity in comparison
with the reference compounds Caspofungin and Kanamycin [1-3]. The results expressed in MIC
values (minimum inhibitory concentration) are reported in Table.

Results of "in vitro" antimicrobial and antifungal activity testing of compounds 1-4.
