Rezumat

Were investigated three groups of healthy cows with productivity of 16-17 kg/day and one group of cows with productivity more than 25 kg / day, suffering from ketosis, in the transition period and the first and second months of lactation. For valuing the antioxidant status (AOS) was determined catalase activity (CAT) and the content of malonic dialdehyde (MDA) in blood serum and erythrocyte peroxide resistance (RPE). At healthy cows the intensification of peroxidation was found in the first days after calving, comparative with the antepartum period, followed by reduction and stabilization of these values in the next 3-4 weeks. At cows suffering from ketosis, the dynamics of the AOS has the same trends vis-à-vis the values of dry period with its perpetuation also during the first months of lactation, which shows the pathological status of oxidative stress.
