Rezumat

The management of public investment projects represents a complex process at the community level, carried out in a coherent and integrated strategic and operational perspective. The foundation of public investment decisions and their acceptance at individual and community level is dependent on how transparency and objectivity are ensured. The dynamics of change in the economic and social environment generates new challenges for all involved actors in terms of transparency and the way it is ensured throughout the life cycle of the project. The paper identifies the main issues in ensuring the transparency necessary for public investments the possible solutions to be adopted, associated with the generated impact as well as the challenges to which these solutions have to respond in a national and European context.
